Position Overview

A leading experiential hospitality venue is seeking an experienced and energetic Operations Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations. This individual will be responsible for managing staff performance, coordinating events, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience across a vibrant, high-volume venue offering indoor and outdoor social gaming, food, and beverage service.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Assistant General Manager to maintain high service standards, develop team culture, and support the seamless execution of both daily operations and private events. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality and strong organizational skills.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily FOH operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and shift reporting
  • Enforce health & safety protocols and ensure compliance with SOPs and local regulations
  • Support event execution from setup to breakdown, ensuring BEOs are fulfilled to standard
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, A/V needs, vendor deliveries, and equipment logistics
  • Actively manage the guest experience by addressing concerns promptly and creating memorable interactions
  • Promote a service-driven culture that supports team morale, retention, and performance


Staff Development & Team Management

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of FOH team members
  • Lead by example on the floor and foster a positive, professional, and engaging work environment
  • Delegate responsibilities, provide coaching, and uphold brand service standards
  • Conduct briefings, manage shift notes, and ensure smooth departmental communication
  • Support team scheduling, shift planning, and daily deployment


Event & Guest Services Coordination

  • Collaborate with the events team to execute beverage service and logistics for private and group functions
  • Attend BEO and leadership meetings to align on upcoming activations and service adjustments
  • Ensure communication between sales, kitchen, and beverage departments for flawless event execution


Inventory & Administrative Support

  • Maintain and track food and beverage inventory; coordinate repairs and replacements of equipment
  • Manage delivery schedules and assist with monthly inventory processes
  • Provide administrative support such as shift documentation, floor plans, and roster updates


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality or events, including 1+ year in a leadership role
  • Proven background managing high-volume restaurants, bars, or event spaces
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving ability under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, and event management software
  • In-depth knowledge of food & beverage service and guest engagement best practices
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Energetic, collaborative, and passionate about hospitality


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and climb stairs regularly
  • Ability to operate in a physically dynamic venue environment
  • Regular, punctual attendance required in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
