About the Role:

The Developer Productivity Team is the driving force behind CoreWeave's engineering efficiency. We empower our engineers to build and deploy cutting-edge technology at scale by providing robust tools, platforms, and processes that streamline the development lifecycle. Our mission is to reduce friction across the SDLC, improve developer experience, and unlock innovation through operational excellence.

As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain productivity-enhancing tools and services with moderate supervision.
  • Apply system design principles to deliver scalable solutions that improve the developer experience.
  • Identify inefficiencies in development processes and propose practical, incremental improvements.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to understand pain points and implement solutions that remove bottlenecks and accelerate development velocity.
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Kubernetes.
  • Begin mentoring new hires and sharing knowledge through documentation and team discussions.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices and participate in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of Git, GitHub workflows, and Linux shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset and curiosity to improve developer workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to provide input on design discussions and collaborate effectively with peers.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms.
  • Exposure to modern testing frameworks and progressive deployment strategies.
  • Interest in mentoring and helping others grow their technical skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,000-$210,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position also includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
