Sugar Foods manufactures and packages croutons, tortilla chips, crispy toppings, as well as cheese-based toppings. Position Summary for Warehouse Manager
Sugar Foods is a food manufacturing, packaging and distribution company. The Warehouse Manager oversees the entire distribution of goods out of our new production and distribution facility. This role involves strategic leadership to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance with all food safety regulations. The manager is responsible for coordinating with Transportation, Production and Supply Chain Teams to optimize distribution processes, improve productivity, and maintain the highest standards of quality. The Warehouse Manager will be relentless in removing costs from the operation increasing productivity. This role will direct the facility's distribution operations, including building out the organization, planning, labor scheduling and direction of the warehouse on a daily basis.
Job Responsibilities of Warehouse Manager
- Build a distribution organization that is scalable
- Coordinate warehouse activities under the direction of Sr Director of Warehousing.
- Maintain MRP information in the system (ie: receivers, issues of materials, transfers adjustments).
- Creating a learning and development program for the distribution team
- Driving the team to RCA and putting in processes and systems to solve problems.
- Stay up to date on changes in the distribution space, including automation, and every two years lay out a three-year plan to capitalize on the changes taking place in the industry
- Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper labor to select and receive products at all warehouses in a productive and cost-efficient manner. Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include receiving, issuing to production, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control.
- Ensuring warehouse activities are carried out efficiently. Schedules personnel to ensure receiving and production issuances are carried out efficiently. Schedules personnel to ensure proper staffing. Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations. Completes necessary activity reports for management. Attends regular and called meetings as required.
- Warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean working environment for employees.
- Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to Sr. Director to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency. Researches and presents new ideas to improve the warehouse operations.
- Verify that all materials are in stock to meet Production schedule.
- Maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform their functions.
- Work effectively with co-workers, customers and other by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
- Punctuality, attendance, flexible working hours, is crucial to meet daily goals.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a managerial role within a distribution environment, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Previous P&L experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
