Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle the complete accounting operations of our organization in Romulus, New York. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in managing financial records, payroll, and reporting. The role requires someone with comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights into the organization's financial health.
• Process bank deposits and reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
• Manage invoicing, billing, and collections to maintain smooth cash flow operations.
• File sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory reports in compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring documentation is easily accessible and up to date.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end closing tasks to support financial planning.
• Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.• Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping, including managing the full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
• Experience in processing full-cycle payroll with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with filing sales tax and payroll tax reports in compliance with regulations.
