Salary Range: $15.50 - $18.51 per hour
Reports to: Activities Manager
Lutheran's Hultquist Place, a warm and welcoming assisted living facility, is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and safety-minded Driver to provide transportation for our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by helping them maintain independence and access to essential appointments.
Job Duties:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments using a facility vehicle (bus or compact SUV)
- Operate on a set weekly schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with hours varying based on appointment needs
- Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs, while prioritizing resident comfort and safety
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, including proper use of wheelchair lockdown systems
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, staff, and families
- Maintain positive community and facility relations at all times
- Report vehicle or weather-related concerns to your supervisor promptly
- Follow all facility policies, including safety and resident rights procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Valid New York State driver’s license required

Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
