We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision and kitchen operations of an upscale, high-profile restaurant in the heart of New York City. This role demands a seasoned chef with a refined palate, proven leadership skills, and a track record of long-term success in elevated dining environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations including culinary execution, team leadership, financial performance, and operational efficiency

Develop and evolve a seasonal, ingredient-driven menu that reflects sophistication, originality, and the highest culinary standards

Oversee food purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory systems with strict attention to quality, cost control, and sustainability

Maintain a culture of precision, professionalism, and respect in the kitchen, with a strong focus on training, retention, and career development

Monitor and uphold safety, cleanliness, and health code standards at all times

Work closely with ownership and front-of-house leadership to create a cohesive guest experience from kitchen to table

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide mentorship, and foster long-term team engagement
Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 5 years as an Executive Chef in a fine dining or upscale environment

Demonstrated history of strong tenure and long-term commitment to previous employers

Deep knowledge of classic and modern techniques, global cuisines, and plating aesthetics

Proven ability to manage kitchen budgets, food and labor costs, and vendor negotiations

Exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills

Culinary degree from an accredited institution is preferred
