Grant Administrator
Client: Well known Non Profit
Location: New York, NY (hybrid, 6 days onsite per month, plus regular travel across NYC boroughs)
Duration: Contract through June 2026 with potential to extend
Payrate: $27/hr -$30/hr
Position Overview
This temporary role requires an experienced professional to provide strategic support in grants administration and community engagement. The Specialist will help strengthen community-based initiatives, support grant-related processes, and work closely with internal and external partners to ensure smooth program operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support grants administration activities, including tracking, documentation, and compliance monitoring
Assist with community outreach, engagement efforts, and coordination with community-based organizations (CBOs)
Contribute to CBO capacity-building initiatives by providing guidance, tools, and support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables
Prepare reports, summaries, and other written materials to support program needs
Utilize technology and data systems to manage information and maintain accurate records
Provide general project support and assist with other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications & Skills
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience supporting or building capacity within community-based organizations
Background in community outreach and engagement
Patient, compassionate, and service-oriented approach
Highly tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Education & Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field plus at least 4 years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field plus at least 2 years of relevant experience
