Our client, a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Team Lead for the Sanitation department to join their team. As a Team Lead , you will be part of the Sanitation department supporting a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in manufacturing performing sanitation work, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and a thorough knowledge of food processing and manufacturing, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Bilingual Sanitation Team Lead
Location: Shirley, NY
Pay Range: $20 - $22.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm (30-minute break)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
What's the Job?
- Lead the daily plant sanitation functions and manage sanitation employees to ensure compliance with quality and sanitation improvement processes.
- Train all Sanitation Technicians on sanitation procedures and promote safety and food safety policies.
- Plan and execute cleaning and sanitation activities to ensure readiness for production.
- Monitor equipment conditions through preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Create a continuous improvement environment by engaging in problem-solving and leading others to do the same.
What's Needed?
- Completion of high school education or equivalent.
- Bilingual ENG/ESP
- Minimum of 2-3 years of sanitation experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, and AIB.
