Job DescriptionDescriptionThis position will provide technical support for the Knowles Precision Devices IT technical infrastructure and its employees.
Key Responsibilities
- User support and customer service – must be present and available to users requiring technical assistance
- Install, assemble, and configure software, computers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware
- Educate users on applications and resolutions in a prompt and professional manner
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on technical infrastructure
- Maintain and support local server, network, and telephone infrastructure
- Make hardware and software acquisition recommendations, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services
- Follow standard Helpdesk operating procedures; accurately log all Helpdesk contacts using helpdesk software
- Assist in planning and implementing major system hardware and software changes
- Support development of operational and quality assurance procedures
- Follow and support all safety practices by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complying with safety signs and placards, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices and conditions to your local or PD EHS teams, and reporting all safety incidents (including near misses) as they occur.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 1-3 years of experience with end-user support
- Experience working with Windows servers, Active Directory
- Knowledge of networking in a Microsoft environment
- Knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy
- Knowledge of PC hardware and repair
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook 2016 and higher
- Must be able to interface with business areas and effectively translate business needs into technology-based business solutions
- Ability to perform as an integral part of a team
- Experience in project management
- Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, along with the ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to keep abreast of new technological and/or procedural developments and present options for improvement to IT management in an organized manner
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows including configuration, driver installation, and general troubleshooting
- Experience with VMWare ESX a plus
- Experience with Switching infrastructure a plus
- Security Clearance a Plus

Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.
One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted to be between $65,000 to $75,000.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
