Job Title: Senior Full Stack Web Engineer (Angular / Java / Spring)

Location: White Plains, NY

Rate: 110,000 - 135,000/year

Employment Type: Full time, direct hire. (Not eligible for 3rd party or C2C)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Web Engineer with a strong background in Angular, Java, and Spring technologies. The role will be approximately 60–70% backend development and 30–40% front-end development, and includes DevOps support, legacy modernization, and cloud migration efforts.

This engineer will contribute to major digital transformation projects focused on e-commerce, direct-to-consumer platforms, and internal servicing tools. You'll be part of a collaborative Agile team supporting large-scale applications used by millions of customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver incremental web development changes using Angular, Java, and Spring across multiple Agile teams.
• Participate in the modernization and transformation of legacy WebSphere-based applications.
• Support Azure cloud migration and ongoing on-premise system operations.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of digital servicing and e-commerce capabilities, impacting lead generation and insurance application processing.
• Assist in DevOps tasks, including CI/CD support using Maven, Gradle, and automated pipelines.
• Write and maintain scalable, efficient, and testable code across the full stack.
• Collaborate with 5–7 team members using Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
• Adhere to secure coding practices, accessibility standards, and enterprise policies.
• Mentor and support team members while contributing to sprint planning and backlog management.
• Maintain documentation for development, testing, and operational processes.

Tech Stack & Tools:

• Frontend: Angular, CSS, HTML
• Backend: Java, Spring, REST APIs
• Legacy Stack: WebSphere
• DevOps: Azure DevOps, Maven, Gradle
• Cloud: Azure (migration and integration), On-Prem infrastructure
• Other Tools: JIRA, Cucumber, GIT, Jenkins (or similar)

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience and certifications).
• 5+ years of full stack web development experience with Angular and Java/Spring.
• 3+ years of experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing platforms.
• Experience with Agile environments
• Experience with DevOps support, including CI/CD automation, testing, and deployments.
• Hands-on experience with on-prem and Azure environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and legacy application transformation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the life insurance, e-commerce, or regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of scalable architecture, secure development practices, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
