Job Description

Office Manager (Contractor)

Location: On-site, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Hours: ~5 hours a week to start, at least 1 day in office each week
Start: Immediately

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized, execution-focused Office Manager (Contractor) to keep our office running smoothly and help elevate the look and feel of our space. This role blends hands-on operational support with strong aesthetic sensibilities—perfect for someone who can both assemble a storage rack and choose the right rug to make a meeting room feel great.

You’ll support day-to-day office logistics, ordering, installations, supplies, and general workspace upkeep, while also contributing to the overall interior vibe of the FLORA office.

Responsibilities

Daily & Weekly Operations

  • Open, sort, and organize all incoming packages and deliveries

  • Install or assemble items (e.g., racks, furniture, decor, equipment)

  • Restock and organize snacks, drinks, and kitchen supplies

  • Maintain inventory of office supplies (ink, scanner, cables, printer paper, etc.)

  • Keep all common areas tidy, functional, and guest-ready

  • Track office needs and proactively address issues before they arise

Purchasing & Vendor Coordination

  • Order snacks, beverages, and general supplies

  • Source furniture, rugs, decor, TVs, webcams, and other equipment as needed

  • Coordinate deliveries, returns, and vendor appointments

Office Environment & Interior Design

  • Make meeting rooms more functional and visually appealing (rugs, decor, acoustic improvements)

  • Contribute ideas to overall workspace vibe (e.g., beanbag chairs, lighting, sound treatment)

  • Identify areas needing refresh (wall paint, touch-up work, aesthetic improvements)

Qualifications

  • Strong execution + operations focus — you enjoy getting things done quickly and well

  • Comfortable with hands-on tasks — assembling, installing, organizing, troubleshooting

  • Eye for creative & interior design — able to make spaces feel artistic, creative, and polished

  • Experience managing office logistics, facilities, or workplace operations

  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple small tasks at once

  • Ability to proactively identify what’s needed without being told

  • Comfortable sourcing items, comparing options, and managing small budgets

  • Excellent communication and reliability

  • NYC-based and comfortable being on-site regularly (at least 1 day / week, depending on workload)
