Job Description
Media Technology Company based in NYC is looking for a Presales Launch Engineer.
This high-visibility, client-facing position requires a robust technical background, excellent
communication skills, and hands-on experience with deploying multifaceted projects in commercial media and technology environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Support
- Providing technical support to the Sales and Client success teams during Sales Process.
- Attend meetings (client and internal) to determine customer requirements and demo product.
- Recommending total design augmenting hardware and content to deliver the best solution for the client.
- Setting up, maintaining and conducting testing within test, demo and POC environments.
- Technical Launch Management - This role will involve a small percentage of actual engineering, but primarily is the technical interface between the company, clients and 3rd party partners.
- Supporting Project Managers throughout lifecycle of project including project rollout preparation, implementation and network commissioning support.
- Attending site walkthroughs, client site surveys and other site visits as needed.
Required Attributes:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales Engineer background or other relevant experience
- Employment history within Media Networks/AV/Telecoms/IT/Software orientated companies.
- Effective communicator who enjoys and is comfortable in a client-facing service environment.
Technical Experience
- Network Protocols and Transport: Deep understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and HTTPS, along with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking. Familiarity with current WiFi standards and performance factors, secure VPN configurations, advanced port forwarding and NAT configurations, VLAN management, etc.
