The Opportunity:
This position will be responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, and schedule requirements for our exciting key programs and new program pursuits. This position will operate within a government contracts environment and report to the Program Management Office. Our programs are dynamic, featuring top-line growth with future innovation and expansion.

How I will Contribute:
- Manages the execution of mid to large-scale programs from inception to completion with limited oversight.
- Develops and maintains program plans, aligning execution with customer requirements and organizational capacity.
- Manages the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and budgets for small to mid-scale programs, with responsibility for tracking, managing, and reporting financial performance as the budget owner.
- Leads the identification, tracking, and management of program risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation planning and contingency actions in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Tracks and presents program status reports and performance metrics to Senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Supports negotiations on contract terms and statements of work (SOWs), to ensure program execution aligns with contractual requirements and deliverables.
- Leads customer-facing meetings and reviews, serving as the primary point of contact for program status, technical coordination, and issue resolution with limited oversight.
- Interprets and integrates customer requirements into program planning and execution, acts as internal customer advocate.
- Supports Business Development and Sales teams on new business opportunities, including proposal preparation. Leads follow-on efforts with limited oversight.
- Manages and forecasts key program financial metrics such as revenue, cost, and margin.
- Leads efforts across functional groups in a matrix environment. Removes team blockers as they arise.
What You Bring to Safran Federal Systems:
- 4+ years of experience with a bachelors degree or 2+ years with an MBA is required.
- Related work or military experience will be considered to fulfill degree requirements.
- Experience with managing defense programs, including managing sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance upon hire.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate across various levels within the organization.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- 2+ years of defense program, project or proposal management preferred.
- Active Secret security clearance
- PMP Certification
