Full Time - Sandwich Prep/Line Cook- Must be available weekends!
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and working with local ingredients. You will be experienced with working on a line as well as prepping ingredients for the mis en plus. All our kitchen staff serve customers, so customer service experience is also a must. Prefer someone with at least 1 year experience working in a commercial kitchen. Must be passionate about working with local produce, a passion for food and local organic ingredients as well as a team player.
This is a full time position, 5 shifts per week with weekend available a must. Pay is $16p/hr +tips (tips add approx $6-$10 p/hr on top of hourly rate ).
Village Grocery and Refillery is a unique store that not only sells local groceries but we also have a full kitchen, a cafe, a bakery and indoor/outdoor dining. Our kitchen produces incredible made to order food as well as ready made salads and more. Our focus is on using as local ingredients as possible, with most of our vendors being direct with farms. We use all our ingredients, low wastage, compost scraps and operate as green as possible.
