The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the ASC and duties cover center licensing and accreditation, planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, budgeting, controlling and marketing the services provided by the facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Under the direction of the CEO, the Administrator will:
- Manage the Surgical and Perioperative Services of the center
- Direct AAAHC accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Perform inventory management
- Manage and maximize financial performance of center
- Implement quality improvement measures
- Adhere to risk management protocols
- Conduct human resource functions (hiring, training, counseling etc.) for ASC adhering to our policies
- Control of staffing requirements and productivity
- Promote training and use excellent management techniques to increase retention of staff
- Provide outstanding customer service and patient care at the ASC
- Assist in patient care as needed
- Assist in physician recruitment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year degree Graduate of an accredited school with a degree in the health care industry
- 5+ years experience in the health care industry
- 2+ years in a supervisory or administrative capacity
- 1 year as an ASC Administrator preferred
- Demonstrated success in meeting target objectives; ability to improve the Center’s P&L outcome
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of reimbursement issues such as coding and managed care contracting.
- Knowledge of AAAHC requirements and accreditation process
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task is critical to this position
