When you join us in Endicott, NY, you'll earn $15.50 to $20.00/hour. We'll support your professional development and provide further education to help you earn licenses. QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Professional animal care experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED:
- Customer service experience
- Proficient computer skills
While we appreciate the love and care you show your own pets, it's not a replacement for veterinary experience. We're looking for someone who has previously worked in a professional animal care facility.
WHAT TO EXPECT AS A VET ASSISTANT
You'll play an important part in our day-to-day veterinary care, working closely with your team and following directions to make every day a great one. Here's a brief view of what your responsibilities include:
- Animal husbandry - take care of the pets' basic needs
- Pet handling - safely transport pets and restrain them as needed for procedures
- Record keeping - maintain veterinary documents and treatment records
- Communication - politely and professionally engage with pet owners and team members
- Veterinary support - assist team with other duties as assigned
