As a Data Engineer, you will be the connective tissue between raw data and business-defining insights, enhancing how shoppers discover, order, and enjoy their favorite dishes nationwide.
You will collaborate with full-stack and machine-learning engineers, analysts, and product managers to design, build, and refine the data infrastructure that powers everything from real-time recommendations to revenue dashboards. What You’ll Do
- Build & Optimize Pipelines – Architect batch and streaming ETL/ELT workflows that move billions of records with reliability and speed.
- Model the Data Layer – Create and maintain dimensional and normalized schemas that support analytics, machine-learning, and operational reporting.
- Champion Data Quality – Define monitoring, testing, and governance standards to keep our data accurate, secure, and compliant.
- Level-Up Engineering Practices – Apply CI/CD, automated testing, and version control to every data workflow for fast, safe deploys.
- Partner Cross-Functionally – Work hand-in-hand with product, analytics, and ML teams to translate business questions into data solutions that drive growth.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or analytics engineering for high-traffic products.
- Expert SQL skills and strong Python proficiency (additional languages welcome).
- Proven success with modern orchestration and streaming tools (Airflow, dbt Cloud, Fivetran, Kafka/Flink, etc.).
- Deep understanding of cloud warehouses—ideally Snowflake on AWS (Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks also valued).
- Familiarity with BI and reporting platforms such as Metabase or Sigma.
- Comfort with Git-based workflows, automated testing, and code reviews.
- Ability to balance long-term architectural vision with day-to-day delivery in a lean, collaborative team.
