DevOps Lead
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Lead to support the delivery and operations of a large-scale enterprise application hosted in Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in cloud-native technologies, DevOps automation, and AI and data-driven platforms. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure, enabling continuous integration and delivery, and collaborating closely with engineering, data, and security teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based cloud environments optimized for modern software delivery and scalable enterprise applications.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams and environments using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, and Veracode for quality and security automation.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or ARM/Bicep templates to provision and manage Azure resources.
- Automate key workflows to enhance deployment velocity, test coverage, and operational consistency.
- Integrate and maintain observability tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Datadog, Prometheus, or Splunk to enable proactive performance monitoring and incident response.
- Implement secure connectivity between Azure and on-premise or external systems, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and hybrid integrations.
- Develop and enforce robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to meet enterprise resiliency standards.
- Collaborate with solutions architects, developers, security, and data teams to align infrastructure and operations with overall platform objectives.
- Support the configuration and integration of enterprise data and AI services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Azure OpenAI.
- Apply security best practices across the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with enterprise or industry standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Champion DevSecOps practices and help integrate security tooling into development pipelines.
- Support testing automation initiatives and assist QA teams in streamlining deployment and test environments.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud environments, CI/CD workflows, IaC templates, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure all configuration changes, processes, and architectural decisions are documented and kept up to date for auditability, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.
- Promote a culture of documentation within the DevOps team, ensuring that tribal knowledge is captured and shared across the organization.
What We’re Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering roles, ideally within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, networking, security, and governance.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
- Strong understanding of security principles and integration of tools like SonarQube, Veracode, or Snyk into CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with Azure Identity and Access Management tools such as Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) are preferred.
- Additional certifications in Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud security are a plus.
- Excellent documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
