Job Description
The Inventory Control Specialist acts as a key liaison between the Store Operations, Finance, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure that all inventory movements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 are accurately recorded and maintained. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, capable of managing complex inventory processes with precision, and proficient in Microsoft Excel. This position reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis point of contact of each location.
- Supports store managers with ordering, receiving, and other inventory movements using the Inventory Management Software
- Scans received physical invoices to the Accounts Payable team
- Leads the resolution of receiving discrepancies and errors based on feedback from the Accounts Payable team
- Generates sales orders and invoices for store procurement activities and inter-property transfers
- Assists with monthly inventory cycle counts as scheduled
- Serves as a liaison between Store Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable and Vendor Representatives to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records
- Support with general month end closing procedures
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Compensation: This position pays a base rate of $25 - $30 per hour.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates or Bachelor ’s Degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and with precision, especially with numbers
- Ability to effectively communicate to ensure accurate inventory reporting
