About the Role
A growing national provider of facility services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to play a key role in financial operations, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is analytical, experienced in GAAP, and confident working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and developing financial models to assist in data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness

Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

Partner with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Analyze budget vs. actual results and provide clear variance analysis and insights

Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate cash flow reports

Produce financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership

Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP

Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation

Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy

Work closely with teams across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Operations, and Procurement
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

Experience in building and managing financial models for strategic planning

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or equivalent)

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling functions

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
