Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Retention Specialist for a 3-month temporary assignment within our medical equipment company. This role is crucial in maintaining patient relationships and ensuring continuity of care through medical equipment upgrades and renewals.
Schedule
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Duration: 4 months
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive outreach calls to existing patients who qualify for new medical equipment
- Process equipment upgrade orders from initiation to completion
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for medical equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in company database
- Collaborate with another retention specialist on ongoing patient retention initiatives
- Track and document all patient communications and follow-up actions
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional phone presence
- Strong data entry abilities with attention to detail
- Experience with insurance verification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Previous experience in healthcare or medical equipment industry is a plus
