PURCHASING MANAGER
We are seeking an ambitious Purchasing Manager eager for an opportunity to showcase their skills in a thriving nutritional supplement manufacturing company. If you are a natural leader with a commercial mindset and can negotiate effectively while maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, then this is the perfect job for you!
As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the purchasing process which includes sourcing raw materials & packaging components for the most competitive pricing, managing inventory, communicating and negotiating with vendors, recording receiving orders, tracking & updating inventory, among other related tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Material Sourcing
- Search and Collect real time pricing information for materials needed and compare pricing across suppliers.
- Forecasting
- Analyze and predict demand to plan orders accordingly, determine quantities and timing of deliveries, maintain optimal inventory levels. Leading, developing, and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Vendor / Supplier Sourcing
- Source and recruit new material vendors / suppliers into our network of qualified suppliers.
- Building & Maintaining Relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms that align with company objectives, and communicate requests or concerns.
- Inventory Management
- Manage, monitor, record, and update inventory to ensure accuracy and availability of inventory and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in QuickBooks [Preferred But Not Required]
- Experience with QuickBooks Manufacturing [Preferred But Not Required]
- Vendor Center
- Customer Center
- Account Receivables
- Purchase Order Related Matters
- Inventory Management
- Experience in Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, & leadership skills
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
- Outstanding organizational & time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must speak fluent English
