In this role, you will assist the Program Director in the design, oversight and implementation of programs, policies, practices and procedures in accordance with all OASAS 822, OMH, Medicaid and State/County regulations for outpatient substance use disorder treatment.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Program Director with data management and oversee ambulatory services in their absence. Monitor quality of care through service reviews, census tracking, and outcome analysis. Maintain relationships with referral agencies and represent the organization externally.
  • Manage assigned programs including caseload oversight and census reporting. Coordinate with leadership on clinical, administrative, and staffing matters. Provide direct services including group facilitation, individual counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OASAS, OMH, OMIG, Medicaid) and proper documentation of UR, treatment plans, and discharge paperwork. Assist with quality assurance monitoring and program meetings (QI, UR, Case Conference, Internal Audit).
  • Supervise staff through delegation, clinical oversight, caseload assignment, and weekly case conferences. Address complex clinical issues beyond primary staff scope. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
  • Manage HR functions including recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and personnel procedures. Ensure compliance with timekeeping and payroll processes.

We require:

  • LMSW or LCSW required
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Substance Use Disorders
  • Clinical supervisory experience in an OASAS-funded facility
  • Commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
  • Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance clinicians, set and achieve program objectives
  • Strong networking and public relations skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures
  • Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
