Position Overview
The Global Consolidation Senior Associate, will support the Global Consolidation Team with intercompany accounting processes, performing the monthly accounting close and preparing consolidated internal financial reporting for month-end, quarter end and year-end reporting. This includes the review and analysis of various entities, journal entries, and internal management reporting, as well as communicating and collecting information from various other internal departments. You will also be responsible for participating in process improvement projects and for completing other non-routine assignments at the direction of department management. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, balancing the flexibility of remote work with intentional, strategic in-person collaboration, supported by a strong team culture and commitment to professional growth.
What you'll do
General Accounting activities include but are not limited to:
- Review monthly submissions from business controllers on a monthly basis
- Preparation of global consolidation financial reports on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Preparation of monthly consolidation journal entries
- Support the integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidation process.
- Review and analysis of entity one-time costs excluded from KPIs and targets
- Intercompany reconciliations and eliminations in a nested and layered legal entity structure.
- Coordinating information between various parties within the accounting/finance department.
- Support initiatives to improve the efficiency of the global consolidation team.
- Other Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
- General knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Knowledge of Oracle EPM a plus
- A quick learner with a strong professional curiosity and exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on details and accuracy are needed to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends, and translate them into insight for management.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and display solid organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Self-starter and motivator with the ability to remain focused and work with limited supervision, perform well under pressure, manages multiple tasks, and successfully meet deadlines.
