Location: Port Chester, NY
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $45,000 to $65,000 + Bonus/Incentive

We are a well-established wholesale distributor of HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic products serving contractors and industry professionals throughout the region. With a strong reputation for knowledgeable service and quality products, we are looking to expand our Port Chester team with a motivated and customer-focused Inside Counter Sales / Customer Service Representative.

Position Summary:
The Inside Counter Sales / Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting contractors and walk-in customers with product selection, order processing, and problem resolution. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and via email
Provide product recommendations and technical support in HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems
Process orders accurately and efficiently using our order management system
Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, promotions, and industry trends
Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims professionally
Support outside sales team by preparing quotes, checking stock, and following up on orders
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and showroom area

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in inside sales, counter sales, or customer service within HVAC, plumbing, or related industry
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or hydronic systems and components
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computer systems and point-of-sale/order entry software
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus
