Summary:
A prestigious AM100 law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Campus Recruiting Manager to oversee attorney recruitment initiatives for its New York office. This role focuses on managing the law school hiring process, summer associate program, and lateral hiring, while contributing to firmwide recruitment strategy and operations. Responsibilities for Campus Recruiting Manager:
- Lead the full-cycle campus recruitment process for the New York office, including on-campus interviews, callback interviews, offer processes, and onboarding
- Strategically design, manage, and evaluate the Summer Associate Program, including orientation, work assignments, mentorship, social programming, and evaluations
- Partner closely with Hiring Partners, Practice Leaders, and the Inclusion & Opportunity team to meet hiring goals and promote diversity
- Collaborate with other Recruitment Managers firmwide to align strategies and best practices across offices
- Supervise, train, and mentor recruiting coordinators and assistants to ensure high-quality support and professional growth
- Oversee law student outreach initiatives, including 1L engagement, student group partnerships, and law school branding campaigns
- Manage lateral associate hiring, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, onboarding, and integration
- Develop and manage recruitment budgets, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with departmental goals
- Monitor and analyze recruiting data to assess effectiveness and generate reports for internal stakeholders
- Stay informed of industry trends, recruiting benchmarks, and law school hiring practices to continuously enhance strategy
Qualifications for Campus Recruiting Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Law school & campus recruitment experience required
- Minimum of 2 years management experience and 5 years relevant legal, personnel or recruitment experience
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritie
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships with attorneys, staff, and candidates
- Familiarity with recruiting platforms such as LawCruit, Flo Recruit, viDesktop, and applicant tracking systems is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with data tracking and reporting
