Job Description

The Marketing Director plays an integral role on The Smilist’s Marketing team. The role is key to ensuring that the marketing and communications functions of the company support the company’s brand and mission and drive measurable growth. This role is both hands on and managerial in nature. The Marketing Director will have the autonomy to collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline requirements, develop/architect solutions, and execute on marketing programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop analysis and gather information to support plans / strategy development and help market recommendations that drive business results
  • Manage projects on time, within specified budget, and proactively identify issues and work within the marketing team or across departments to resolve
  • Research, define and adapt trends appropriate for industry
  • Work intimately with vendors and agency partners to ensure efficient spend and hold vendors accountable
  • Ownership and responsibility for supervising and managing owned digital properties (website, social media, etc.) This includes that they are up-to-date, accurate and generating results in line with expectations and goals
  • Maximize patient database (segmentation) and the development of communication strategy around retention
  • Ensure direct reports are meeting and exceeding expectations, take corrective action when needed and conduct periodic updates and performance reviews with team members. Foster a high performing team culture
  • Develop and analyze business data, contribute to drawing conclusions, understand and begin to articulate category knowledge and the customer business cycle.
  • Link back to overall brand objectives, focus on new client acquisition and deliver strong ROI while working with internal teams to execute all programs flawlessly and on-time.
  • Support internal stakeholders (operations, field, clinical teams) in their branding and marketing needs
  • Participate in proposing projects and initiatives to leadership/management team
  • Develop marketing programs to boost presence within hyper local communities and business communities
  • Develop compelling marketing content for internal and external use

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing healthcare related role
  • Demonstrated success in digital marketing, brand management, and PR.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • Industry expertise in marketing or experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Location: Great Neck, NY - Hybrid - In office Mondays/Tuesdays
Salary Range: $115,000-$140,000
