The Project Controls Manager will lead MTA Construction and Development’s efforts to implement and oversee project controls for a significant component of the MTA Capital Program within the Delivery Department. Responsible for managing and ensuring effective and efficient operations of cost estimating, scheduling, project risk, cost control, and related project reporting functions to support complex capital projects.


Responsibilities

Provides cost, schedule, and risk management leadership post-project appraisal and lessons learned activities.

Lead the preparation of updated operating budget impact analysis to reflect updated client requirements & functional scope of work.


Update integrated project scheduling to identify and track access requirements, project interdependencies, Agency/Owner sequencing constraints, and project handover activities.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.

Must have a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have focus and ability to deliver on results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Must possess excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).

Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”).
