Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped 2.5 million people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

ŌURA is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our Workplace Technology Platform Engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on systems engineer with strong technical depth across identity, endpoint management, automation, and integrations. You’ll contribute to our Zero Trust strategy, help modernize infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and collaborate on key cross-functional initiatives that scale and secure our IT environment. This is a critical individual contributor role that supports architectural direction and technical execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do

Deliver Scalable, Reliable, and Secure Infrastructure

  • Design and maintain IT infrastructure solutions across IAM, UEM, automation, and API integration platforms
  • Contribute to IaC patterns that support global scalability, observability, and security by default
  • Translate business and compliance requirements into well-documented and auditable infrastructure solutions
  • Embed DevOps best practices (e.g., testing, audit logging, CI/CD pipelines) into internal tooling

Advance Platform Engineering and Automation

  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new tools and frameworks across infrastructure and automation
  • Support the automation of common infrastructure and compliance workflows, including configuration as code
  • Participate in the evolution of our Zero Trust and automation-first approach across endpoint, SaaS, and IaaS ecosystems
  • Build and maintain internal scripts, tools, and integrations to reduce toil and improve incident response

Collaborate and Execute on Strategic Initiatives

  • Contribute to high-impact programs such as:
    • Identity modernization and access lifecycle
    • Zero-touch deployment and device lifecycle automation
    • Infrastructure readiness for SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST audits
    • Compliance automation and policy-driven access controls
  • Partner with architects, security, compliance, and workplace tech teams to ensure secure and efficient delivery

Support Knowledge Sharing and Engineering Maturity

  • Contribute to documentation, design reviews, and engineering standards
  • Collaborate in sprint planning, technical OKRs, and roadmap alignment
  • Support junior engineers through peer reviews and project contributions

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles, with a strong foundation in cloud-native and enterprise environments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure & Automation Expertise: Proven experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Identity & Access Management: Proficiency with identity platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, and Google. Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and experience implementing secure, identity-driven access controls.
  • Networking & Systems Architecture: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing concepts sufficient to configure, troubleshoot, and collaborate with network teams.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Hands-on experience with observability tools for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex systems.
  • Endpoint Management (MDM/UEM): Experience deploying and maintaining macOS, Windows and Linux devices using enterprise UEM tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and/or Ansible. Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, and Bash/Zsh.
  • Platform & DevOps Practices: Familiarity with API management, CI/CD tooling, and modern DevOps methodologies.
  • Configuration & Version Control: Strong working knowledge of YAML, JSON, and Git-based workflows.
  • Security & Compliance: Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST). Understanding of compliance-driven system design and operation.
  • Familiarity with SQL for compliance-related data analysis or querying is a plus.
