Enterprise Controls Technology Business Manager

MUST be local to NYC, Hybrid Schedule, at least 3 days onsite

Salary Range: $160k to $195k

No Sponsorship Available

Work with the Head of Enterprise Controls to optimize their organization focused on workforce management, vendor management, financial reporting, portfolio governance and overall organizational oversight. You will assist the executive in defining and executing strategic priorities for the non-financial risk function. You will also partner with other technology business managers to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Partner closely with the Finance department to manage budgets and update forecasts of the overall expense footprint including headcount, future hires, attrition, and vendor spend.
  • Headcount Management: Responsible for the headcount planning and allocation for the IT function, based on the business needs and the IT strategy. Monitor and report on the headcount status, identify gaps and risks, and propose solutions and actions to optimize the IT workforce.
  • Recruiting Management and Strategy for IT: Responsible for the recruiting strategy and process for the IT function, in collaboration with the HR department. Define the hiring criteria and standards, ensure that the teams source and select the best candidates, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for the new hires.
  • Portfolio Governance: Oversee budget, maintain resource allocations and other expenses across technology projects and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between IT, business units and functional partners to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of technology initiatives with business needs
  • Communication: Provide support to senior leadership in setting agendas for staff meetings, organizational communication, and town hall meetings.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Help the executive in defining and executing strategic priorities for the non-financial risk function. This includes:
    • Helping to drive and coordinate non-financial risk operating model across Business Risk and Controls and IT Governance Risk and Compliance teams
    • Helping to define what strategic cross-functional non-financial risk projects and initiatives are necessary, assisting with tracking of timely progress and monitoring the effectiveness of solutions
    • Streamlining internal processes for efficiency and productivity
    • Analyzing problems, gathering data and conducting research, and presenting solutions to senior leaders to inform decision-making.
    • Acting as a liaison between the executive and other stakeholders by building and maintaining strong relationships with partners across the organization
    • Fostering a high performing culture by building alignment and cohesion within the executive's team

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in business management or finance, with a proven track record of supporting a technology or risk organization, being a change agent for transformation and organizational efficiency while providing financial oversight in the organization
    • Financial and budget management
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Problem-solving and decision-making
    • Preferred Skills: Experience supporting a senior executive in Financial Services or Consulting Technology and Risk Management
