Compensation: $16.50/hour + tips (before tip credit)

Little Ruby’s Café is excited to bring its signature Australian-style hospitality to Brooklyn. We're looking for professional, courteous, and passionate Bartenders to join our front-of-house team and help deliver the warm, welcoming service our guests love.
Job Summary
As a Bartender at Little Ruby’s Café, you'll craft high-quality beverages, engage with guests, and help maintain a clean, organized, and energetic bar environment. You'll play a vital role in shaping the guest experience from first pour to final goodbye.
Key ResponsibilitiesService Excellence
- Provide genuine, professional hospitality to every guest
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless bar and lounge experience
- Present menus, make recommendations, and communicate specials with clarity
- Be knowledgeable about drink recipes, food pairings, and dietary accommodations
Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve cocktails and beverages in line with company standards and local regulations
- Accurately input orders into the POS and manage payment transactions
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar throughout service
- Execute all opening, closing, and side work procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs promptly
Teamwork & Compliance
- Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to support smooth service
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training
- Adhere to all Department of Health and internal sanitation policies
- Report maintenance issues or guest concerns to management as needed
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or lounge
- Completion of in-house Bartender Training, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, spirits, beer, and wine
- Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-oriented approach
