What You Will Do:

Bottom Line is hiring two interns to provide recruitment support to the region. The Recruitment Interns will support program recruitment efforts and ensure a smooth application process for prospective students. Interns will engage directly with students, partners, and advisors. This position will report to the Student Recruitment and Partnerships Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with staff outreach and recruitment events, including partner outreach, scheduling presentations, delivering presentations (in high schools) and attending tabling events, discussing Bottom Line’s programs, answering questions and encouraging students to apply, as needed.
  • Support an efficient and welcoming process for student applicants. Conduct student outreach via phone, email, and text to help application completion.
  • Implement timely data entry to track student application progress.

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without advanced notice.  

Work Schedule:

10 hours/week

Schedule requires morning and evening work – availability can be discussed throughout the interview process. Ability to work one day per week in the morning (9AM-2PM) and one day per week in the evening (3PM-8PM) preferred.

Expected Travel:

To local events with NYC as needed.

  • Availability to commit to a hybrid schedule, with some flexibility; local travel within NYC
  • Able to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Strong communication skills via phone call, text, email, and in person
  • Comfort speaking to students and families about Bottom Line programs
  • Experience with Excel and Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud (or similar platforms) recommended, not required
  • Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
