Staff Accountant, Temp to Perm, Onsite NYC

Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and intercompany balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts by collecting data, analyzing trends, and identifying variances.

Participate in internal audits and support external audit requests, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory standards.

Analyze financial reports and dashboards to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).

Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
$30-38/hr
Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
