Position Summary:

The Technical Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations, strategic direction, and performance of the Technical Operations Department within GXC. GXC's Technical Operations Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Assistant Technical Operations Manager, the Technical Operations Administrator and operational support associated with executing any operations plan for any given deployment of equipment and personnel. The Technical Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving growth, managing resources, and achieving key objectives within the Technical Operations Department.


Essential Functions:

  • Direct day-to-day operations, budget management, and resource allocation to maximize departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans, goals, and initiatives aligned with GXC's mission and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize department performance metrics, implementing data-driven strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry compliance standards while proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.
  • Provide leadership and professional development support to the Assistant Technical Operations Manager, Technical Operations Administrator, and supporting staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with Division Directors and cross-functional managers to align strategies, share best practices, and promote organizational synergy.
  • Partner with the Account Management team to identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Orchestrate comprehensive planning and flawless execution of nationwide GXC rental events and deployments.
  • Supervise complex projects and project managers, ensuring objectives are met within scope, timeline, and budget parameters.
  • Coordinate with the Field Service Manager to optimize technician resource allocation and deployment strategies.
  • Maintain precise, real-time data management systems for all rental equipment and operational assets nationwide.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail in logistics planning, risk assessment, and event execution.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly performance reports with strategic insights and improvement recommendations for the Counter Measure Division, Director of Operations.
  • Monitor event outcomes and implement lessons learned to enhance future operational performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical operations, logistics, or deployment coordination
  • Proven track record of ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills.
  • History of implementing operational improvements and aligning departmental goals with company strategy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, equipment tracking, and documentation systems.
  • High emotional intelligence and team leadership experience in fast-paced settings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed for event and site support.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain flexible with hours during critical deployments.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in security or technical field service industries.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and equipment tracking tools.
  • Experience working in fast-growing, high-demand operational environments.
  • Track record of implementing operational improvements and aligning departmental goals with company strategy.
