Our client, a small retail distribution company, is looking to hire for a Controller role! Qualified candidates will have prior accounting management level experience in the retail or distribution field. You will report to the CFO of the company and manage corporate accounting, financial reporting, banking relationships and ap/ar. You will also work with outside CPA firm on year-end financial statements. This is a fully onsite position offering a salary in the range of $140-150K.
Responsibilities for the Controller job include:

Manage a 3 person staff, reporting directly to the CFO

Oversee all of the daily and monthly accounting operations

Evaluate current processes and make suggestions for improvements

Work closely with the CFO on all monthly, quarterly and year end reporting

Assist owners with accounting around some of their personal investments/businesses
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-
5+ years of accounting experience
-
Retail industry background is required
-
Staff management experience required
-
Public accounting experience preferred
