POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fleet Representative will develop and execute a local pallet recovery program and
expand PECO’s pallet recycler & retail recovery network to ensure improved recovery of assets. This involves assuming full territory responsibility for all PECO assets in the assigned territory. And, balancing the needs of the NPD/Recycler customer base with the needs of the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Individual required to obtain DOT Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification and to operate a 20’ box truck with lift-gate.
· Safely operate a pallet jack
· Manage Recovery and NPD returns within assigned territory
· Build relationships with accounts
· Conduct regular customer visits to generate returns
· Log all activity in CRM
· Identify unknown locations within territory
· Must comply with all applicable FMCR’S and have no missing logs or
hours of service violations
· Responsible for completing all applicable DOT Roadside Inspections
successfully
· Meet or exceed target recovery and visit expectations
· Responsible for completing quarterly safety and developmental
training
· Develop working knowledge of internal systems including
Red<>Link.
· This position requires a high-level accountability and
collaboration with pallet recyclers to ensure successful onboarding into PECO’s
program.
· Incumbent will work with Account Managers and other PECO employees
with the goal of identifying and recovering PECO pallets in the possession of nonparticipating
distributors, pallet dealers, and other unsigned companies or persons.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
An ideal candidate will possess experience in day to day customer interaction, a
comfort level with operating independently and not in an office environment. Experience with building
and maintaining relationships. The ability to plan and execute an efficient and effective daily/weekly route.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to pass the DOT Physical Examination and obtain Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.
· See physical qualifications for driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (DOT Medical Exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle
Certification.)
Education:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or
related field
Skills & Experience Required:
• Must be able to lift 65 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Takes initiative; Ability to work independently to drive results.
• Computer knowledge including MS office (Outlook, Excel, Word,
Power Point.)
• Commercial negotiations experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to properly influence
internally and externally.
• Project Management experience including issues/problem
resolutions.
• Organizational, communication, problem solving, analytical and
time management skills.
