We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our clients finance team in Altamont, New York. This temporary to hire position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the management of client accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage charges, payments, deposits, and checks for client accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare and distribute monthly accounts receivable reconciliations to program managers.
• Maintain accurate records of billing and cash applications in computerized accounting systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding payments.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.
• Generate reports and provide insights into accounts receivable activities.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred.
• Experience in not-for-profit accounting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in computerized accounting systems is essential.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with financial tools such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Ability to handle billing, cash applications, and collections with precision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address account discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills to interact with program managers and team members.
