We’re working with a large, established referral and emergency hospital in West Islip that is looking for an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. This state-of-the-art facility offers 24/7 emergency and critical care with some of the most advanced diagnostic and treatment tools available, ensuring you’ll have everything you need to practice high-quality medicine.
The hospital is equipped with wireless telemetry, capnography, multiple in-house laboratories, digital radiography, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, LINAC, ultrasound, endoscopy, interventional radiology, bronchoscopy, arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgery. You’ll also be working alongside a highly collaborative team of board-certified specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology (medical & radiation), Critical Care, Cardiology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Avian & Exotics, and Physical Rehabilitation.

About You
- DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
- You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in New York
- Confident in emergency medicine and critical care, or eager to grow in this specialty
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Flexible, resilient, and motivated to provide the highest level of patient care
