Job Title: Data and Integration Solutions Architect, Senior

Onsite Requirement: A couple of days onsite required and travel to different sites.

Job Summary: The Data and Integration Solutions Architect, Senior will guide the migration of legacy data from the existing DB2 system to SQL Server and lead the design of robust, secure, and scalable integration layers between client’s internal systems and the new client platform. The role focuses on data integrity, synchronization, and the development of RESTful APIs and ETL pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a migration strategy from DB2 to SQL Server for the client system, ensuring data consistency and minimal disruption.

  • Architect normalized, scalable data models and database schemas to support new system functionality.

  • Develop automated ETL processes for extracting and transforming legacy data into the modern platform.

  • Design real-time and batch integration mechanisms between client systems (e.g., DIIT central systems).

  • Build API services and integration layers to enable secure data exchange with third-party systems, dashboards, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure proper handling of PII, FERPA, and sensitive data through encryption and role-based access.

  • Develop data archival and reporting strategies that align with client’s long-term compliance and audit requirements.

  • Support ongoing data synchronization and master data management efforts across interconnected systems.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, SQL Server development, and systems integration.

  • Expertise in designing and migrating relational databases and working with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).

  • Strong understanding of data governance, PII handling, and regulatory compliance in government or education.

  • Experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Familiarity with DOE or similar government agency integration protocols is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $140,500 to $177,400 per year benchmarked in the New York area. The target salary is $158,200 for this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
