About the Role
Do you know your way around a refuse truck body like others know their way around a toolbox? Were looking for a Refuse Body Parts Specialist who can be the go-to expert for parts, solutions, and support at our dealership. This position will be based in New Jersey. Training to take place at our Long Island headquarters.
As the link between customers, technicians, and suppliers, youll play a vital role in keeping refuse fleets running. From hydraulic cylinders to tailgate seals, your expertise ensures our customers get the right parts, on time, every time.
This isnt just a desk job its a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and turning technical knowledge into customer confidence.
What Youll Do
- Be the parts expert customers and technicians rely on for refuse truck bodies (McNeilus, Heil, Labrie, and more).
- Help customers identify, source, and order the right parts with accuracy and speed.
- Manage quotes, invoices, and warranty returns with attention to detail.
- Keep parts inventory organized and stocked ensuring common items are always available.
- Work closely with vendors to secure pricing, lead times, and availability.
- Support shipping/receiving and keep records up to date.
- Provide outstanding customer service in person, on the phone, and by email.
- Collaborate with the service and sales teams to solve customer challenges.
What Were Looking For
- 2+ years in a parts, service, or warehouse role (refuse, heavy-duty truck, or equipment industry preferred).
- Knowledge of refuse body systems (hydraulics, electrical, and structural).
- Familiarity with OEM catalogs (McNeilus, Heil, Labrie, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Tech savvy comfortable with computer-based inventory and ordering systems.
- Excellent communication and customer-first mindset.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
