DevOps Support Engineer
Location: Monsey, NY / Newark, NJ (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110,000–$130,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join a high-performing DevOps team in a fast-paced, growing technology environment. This role supports the design, stability, and ongoing operation of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application hosting, primarily within an Azure-based environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid technical foundation who wants to deepen their DevOps skill set while working closely with developers and senior infrastructure engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Support
• Support and maintain cloud environments including Azure App Services, networking, and application hosting
• Assist with environment setup, configuration changes, and access management
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and assist with incident triage and resolution
CI/CD & Deployment Support
• Assist in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications
• Partner with developers to ensure smooth, repeatable deployments
• Help maintain consistency across development, staging, and production environments
Troubleshooting & Operations
• Investigate infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
• Escalate complex problems while providing clear documentation and context
• Contribute to system documentation, workflows, and operational runbooks
Automation & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
• Assist with scripting and tooling improvements
• Participate in team standups and DevOps planning sessions
Qualifications
Required Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in IT, cloud, or DevOps-related roles
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services or similar platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle
Technical Skills
• Understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, and security fundamentals
• Scripting experience using PowerShell and/or Python
• Working knowledge of deployment automation and environment management
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Soft Skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive learner with curiosity for DevOps and cloud technologies
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
