JOB SUMMARY


The busser position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the front of the house restaurant. The busser serves at the assistant to the server by clearing empty plates from the tables as well as cleaning and resetting the tables after the guest has left.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeping service area clean neat and organized at all times
  • Filling and refilling water glasses throughout the day.
  • Clearing and maintaining tables
  • Resetting tables
  • Knowledge of table numbers
  • Being able to smile thought your whole shift and leaving your personal life outside
  • Sweep mop floors not limited to dining room
  • Sweep around exterior of restaurant and garbage area when needed
  • General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure restaurant remains dry
  • Organizing throughout the shift
  • Always have clean non soiled kitchen towels folded on station. soiled napkins must go in hamper
  • Breaking down patio at the end of service.
  • Wiping down all tables at end of night
  • Sweeping and moping entire dining room along with restrooms
  • Sweep outside when needed
  • Restrooms maintenance.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Walks and stands during entire shift
  • Lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils, weighing up to 30 lbs., up to 50 times per shift.
  • lift and empty trash cans weighing up to 150 lbs., with assistance, up to two times per shift
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting.
  • Work indoors and outdoors
  • Frequent washing of hands
  • Clean and presentable appearance
