As the 1115 Waiver Housing Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Provide comprehensive housing support to eligible households under the 1115 Waiver, ensuring that all services are documented accurately in the Unite Us platform.
- Engage in the Continuum of Care for Housing, collaborating with service providers to improve housing stability for clients.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with the Department of Social Services (DSS), community-based organizations, and civic groups to facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Stay informed on policies, eligibility requirements, and necessary documentation for programs such as Temporary Assistance, Public Assistance, Section 8 Housing, Rental Assistance, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, HEAP, and other relevant resources.
- Support financial literacy and budget planning by:
- Helping clients determine affordable housing options.
- Identifying cost-saving strategies and available financial assistance programs.
- Setting goals for increasing or maintaining income.
- Provide tenant advocacy services, including negotiating repayment plans with landlords, educating clients on their rights, and empowering them to address housing issues.
- Connect clients to essential resources for housing-related assistance (e.g., furniture procurement, utility assistance, etc.).

1115 Waiver Housing Advocate Maximum Salary: $ 22.00
1115 Waiver Housing Advocate Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 - 4:30
- Thursday 11 - 7
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
