Job Overview
The Market Manager is responsible for leading sales performance, customer service excellence, and operational integrity at their assigned branch while providing overall management and guidance to multiple branch locations. This role combines strategic planning, employee development, and business growth to achieve bank goals, build strong customer relationships, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
In this high-impact role, you’ll:
- Lead and inspire branch managers and teams to achieve excellence in sales, service, and operations.

- Represent the bank in the community and foster meaningful partnerships.
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Retail Delivery & Marketing
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to direct reports, team members, and branch managers within the Market Manager’s primary branch and assigned market locations.
- Foster a culture of high performance, professionalism, customer service excellence, branch profitability, and operational soundness.
- Utilize a need-based sales approach to build business relationships and generate revenue through outside calling efforts.
- Ensure staff participate in sales activities and community events to represent the bank and develop new business.
- Collaborate with branch managers and business partners to drive business growth, lead the budget process, establish sales goals and strategies, and evaluate performance.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness and engagement.
- Manage performance issues, training needs, staffing decisions (hiring, promotions, demotions, terminations), and salary adjustments.
- Identify market, customer, and competitor trends and develop strategies to respond effectively.
- Stay current on banking regulations, best practices, and emerging issues to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Resolve escalated employee and customer concerns by generating solutions independently or collaboratively.
- Communicate effectively across the organization while ensuring appropriate staffing and resources are allocated to branches to meet service and sales expectations.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Experience
- Minimum 4 years of management experience in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of operating policies/procedures and state/federal banking regulations.
- Strong background in employee development, public relations, and need-based sales.
Education / Certifications / Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Notary License (required).
- Valid driver’s license (required).

Branch Hours
Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Pay Information
The annual salary range for this role is $79,680.34 to $99,600.42, negotiable based on years of experience, skill set, qualifications and other relevant factors.
Incentive compensation is available based on bank and individual performance goals. Paid out quarterly and annually (based on hire date)

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency. Able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator and able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Also able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the essential functions of the role independently or collaboratively as part of a team. This includes the ability to plan and manage work activities for themselves and others, understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate information clearly and logically. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing basic mathematical calculations is important.
This role requires professionalism, patience, and the ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both within and outside the organization, while delivering exceptional customer service.
The candidate should be able to manage responsibilities effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, deadlines, and the need for accuracy. Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating sound judgement in handling sensitive information is essential.
