- Azure Production Support Engineer
- Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
- Location: Remote
- C2C Pay Rate: $65.00
Responsibilities:

Provide L1–L3 support for Azure production environments, ensuring high availability and performance
-
Respond to and resolve production incidents; lead and manage incident bridges/calls
-
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
-
Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform
-
Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
-
Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions (e.g., Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup)
-
Configure and manage Azure networking components (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Application Gateways)
-
Manage Azure AD, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Key Vault for security and compliance
-
Optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, resilience, and cost-efficiency (FinOps)
Requirements:

AZ-900 and AZ-104 certifications required; additional Azure certifications are a plus

Proven experience supporting infrastructure and platform components in an Azure production environment

Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills in a 24x7 on-call support environment

Hands-on experience with:

Azure CLI, Bash, PowerShell scripting

Terraform
-
Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics

Azure Networking (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, App Gateways)

Azure Active Directory and RBAC

Key Vault and Azure security best practices

Familiarity with High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies in Azure
-
Experience supporting batch and CICS-based MQ applications.
