About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join their Data Center Operations team. This role involves maintaining and optimizing mission-critical infrastructure that supports AI and machine learning workloads. The technician will be responsible for executing complex hardware tasks, structured cabling projects, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced hardware replacements including servers, networking equipment, and power systems
  • Execute structured cabling installations and modifications (copper and fiber)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assets, configurations, and changes
  • Collaborate with remote teams to implement upgrades and improvements

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with structured cabling (copper and fiber), including testing and certification
  • Solid understanding of data center cooling, electrical systems, and environmental monitoring
  • Proven ability to safely handle and install networking and server hardware
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with GPU servers and high-performance computing environments

Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule

  • Two-day work: Employees work two consecutive 12-hour shifts.
  • Two-day break: Employees have two consecutive days off.
  • Three-day work: Employees work three consecutive 12-hour shifts.
  • Rotation: This pattern repeats, with shifts rotating between days and nights every two weeks.
