Position Summary

As an Account Executive - NYC, you will be responsible for order distribution, market penetration, and managing sell-through with licensed cannabis retailers across the five boroughs of NYC. You will collaborate with fulfillment team members to optimize inventory levels while ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between departments and provide feedback to management to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions

Your role as Account Executive - NYC will be instrumental in driving sales and ensuring smooth wholesale operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Driving Sales

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with market trends and company objectives.

  • Meet and exceed performance metrics (KPIs) to track success and identify areas for improvement.

  • Establish strategic partnerships to expand market reach and sales opportunities.

  • Adapt sales strategies to market fluctuations and emerging industry trends.

  • Identify new market opportunities, including product diversification.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales messaging and campaigns.

Policies, Procedures & Wholesale Operations

  • Execute inventory, distribution, and quality control policies while providing feedback for improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations and proactively address compliance gaps.

  • Maintain a steady inventory supply while minimizing stock shortages.

  • Streamline operational processes through proactive communication and assessment of inventory turnover goals.

  • Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cannabis distribution from seed to sale.

  • Maintain documentation required by governmental agencies.

  • Oversee inventory tracking systems and wholesale order management platforms.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.

  • 1+ years of outside/field sales experience, including:

    • Prospecting

    • Lead generation

    • Account management

  • CRM experience preferred.

  • Passion for the cannabis industry.

  • Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and problem-solve proactively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be comfortable spending 50%+ of work time in the field, visiting dispensaries.

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and working with machinery.

  • Comfortable working with strong-smelling cannabis plants and solvents.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary + Commission

  • Expected $100K+ annual OTE, uncapped commissions
