Job DescriptionBizTek People is in search for an experienced Client Onboarding Consultant for our client in NYC!

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the direct team manager with all onboarding processes.
  • Manage daily onboarding requests across all divisions.
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities.
  • Compose KYC packages and perform due diligence on new clients based on their risk rating, including standard and enhanced due diligence requirements.
  • Conduct OFAC and negative news screenings on clients and related parties to identify and assess potential risks.
  • Prioritize onboarding cases to ensure timely completion ahead of deadlines.
  • Liaise directly with the Front Office and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to internal audit and compliance requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements and assist in implementing efficiency measures where appropriate.
  • Accurately determine appropriate industry classifications (e.g., SIC or sector codes).
  • Demonstrate familiarity with regulatory and disclosure platforms (such as Investment Advisor Public Disclosure and EDGAR), and understand relevant documentation (e.g., RIA, QIB, 2111 forms, AML Wolfsberg Questionnaire, onboarding templates, and Prime Broker Agreements).
  • Understand the organizational structure of investment advisors and distinguish when full KYC onboarding is required versus when a streamlined process is appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Legal, Compliance, Sanctions, Regulatory, Tax, and Operations.

Skills and Competencies

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical thinking.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client data with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage and report on multiple onboarding requests.
