Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Payroll Supervisor/Manager to oversee payroll operations for a FinTech company in New York, New York. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while managing a team and collaborating with HR and finance departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in multi-state payroll and large-scale payroll management.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the complete payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Maintain detailed payroll records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and maintain data accuracy.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on payroll expenses and other financial metrics.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors promptly.
• Stay updated on changing tax laws and wage regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to payroll staff, fostering an environment of efficiency and teamwork.• Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle payroll processes.
• Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll operations.
• Expertise in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll management.
• Ability to oversee bi-monthly payroll cycles efficiently.
• Experience with payroll processing for organizations with over 500 employees.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies.
• Leadership experience in supervising and supporting payroll teams.
