As a Remote Exchange Optimization Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing, enhancing, and streamlining processes related to electronic trading, data exchanges, and financial platform performance. You'll focus on optimizing order routing, latency, pricing models, and market access strategies across exchange environments such as equities, derivatives, crypto, or digital marketplaces.
This role blends quantitative analysis, systems optimization, and strategic thinking to ensure competitive performance in rapidly changing markets. You will collaborate with trading, engineering, and data science teams to analyze patterns, recommend improvements, and implement operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
Analyze exchange trading activity to identify inefficiencies, latency issues, and optimization opportunities
Work with trading platforms and internal systems to enhance order routing, liquidity sourcing, and execution speed
Monitor and report on exchange performance metrics, system throughput, and fill quality
Support the integration of new exchanges and trading venues by evaluating technical specifications and fee structures
Collaborate with engineers and traders to tune systems and algorithms for optimal performance
Develop dashboards, models, and reports that enable decision-making across operations and strategy
Conduct post-trade analysis and root-cause investigations of exchange anomalies or outages
Ensure compliance with exchange rules, trading regulations, and audit requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
2 years of experience in a trading, financial analytics, or exchange operations environment
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R
Experience working with market data (e.g., FIX protocol, ITCH/OUCH, WebSocket APIs)
Knowledge of trading infrastructure, order types, and exchange fee structures
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across business and technical teams
